New here

Postby for-a-song » Wed May 06, 2015 11:18 pm

Hello all, name is Travis and Im in Bellingham.
I am just getting back into 4x4'ing and actually picking up my new jeep this next week (well new to me).
I will be adding some things to it and hopefully learning how to work on it more.
Would love to get involved with the group around here. Here are a couple pics of the jeep.

Well, still here but that jeep I posted that I was picking up fell through the day before I was going down to get it...

I did pick up another Jeep today though, and its as old as me... 1967 Jeep CJ5
Can't wait to hit a few trails in it.

Yes I did buy it locally so Im sure you have seen it around town :)
Specs are: Engine is a 231 Buick v6 Bored 40 over, 9/1 pistons, RV Cam, Has HEI Ignition.
Running a T-90 3 speed with Hydro clutch-willowood setup with a D18 Transfer case.
Rear Axle is a Dana 44, front is Dana 25 converted to Disc brakes.
4" Rancho lift, 1" body lift...a bunch of other small upgrades.

My next thing I need to do is change out the seats and move them back since I am a big guy, and convert it to power steering.
I don't know much about mechanics or welding but I am hoping to learn as I go with this beauty.
